Since I last wrote about the boonrig things have moved on a pace. George and Nettle have been working every hour to get it ready for its first public outing at the Goods Shed Christmas fair in a couple of weeks. Like everything there have been good and bad day’s, the wind has been unnerving as the field they have it in is very exposed and of course because of the rain the BR got bogged down and they couldn’t shift it round head to wind. Guy ropes were put in place just in case.
A wonderful mixture of recycling and modern technology i.e. the EasySolar unit from victron energy which has a inverter/charger,MPPT controller and AC distributer !! see pic, installed using George’s inherited tools from his grandfather.
